Aksel Sandemose

Aksel Sandemose (19. marts 1899 - 6. august 1965), dansk-norsk forfatter.
Aksel Sandemose blev født på Nykøbing Mors. Han fødenavn var egentlig Axsel Nielsen, men i 1921 tager han navneforandring til Aksel Sandemose. Hans opvækst på Limfjordsøen Mors, giver stof til en stor del af hans forfatterskab. Også hans tid som sømand, dette er i hans helt unge år, fylder i hans bøger. I 1930 bosætter han sig i Norge, hvor hans mor oprindelig kom fra. Hans romaner søger i det psykologiske, om hvorfor mennesker handler som de gør. Der optræder ofte selvbiografiske træk, i hans forfatterskab. Mest kendt er han vel, som forfatter til vores allesammens jantelov.
